Lynton and the Valley of Rocks on the north Devon coast is our walk of the month for March, as featured in our 2016 calendar. Pictured above, the grey clouds loom above the impressive bulk of Castle Rock, which makes up one of the highest sea cliffs in Britain.
This is a classic easy walk along a relatively level section of high cliffs and is suitable for pushchairs so a good one for the Easter holidays at the end of March.
Children will love the stories associated with the spectacular rock formations, and the herd of friendly feral goats that perch precariously of the edge of the cliffs.
There’s also the added attraction of the Lynton Cliff Railway.
This walk has five star reviews on Tripadviser – take a look and if you rate it yourself leave a review. We’d also love to hear what you think, so feel free to post in the comments section below this post.
Happy walking!
We flew from Australia last July to walk the whole path-best thing we have ever done.
